Since ancient times the sulphur springs of Mount Etna have been used in the thermal baths of Xifonie. The thermal springs are still used today in the multitude of health treatments and therapies available at Acireale’s Thermal Baths and Health Spa.
The special mud used is mineral based, and is obtained by maturing the volcanic clay for three years in the sulphuric water from the Greco romano spring in Santa Venera. Relaxing and toning massages are also available.
