Noto, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the symbol of Sicilian Baroque style's richness and magnificence. Admire its garishness walking down
Vittorio Emanuele Street, passing through Porta Reale (Royal Door). Visit
Saint Francis all'Immacolata Church, introduced by stairs, and
Saint Chiara Church, built in 1748. Going on you see the
City Hall Square, where
Saint Nicolò Cathedral is. In Nicolaci street admire
Nicolaci di Villadorata Palace with its corbels made up of grotesque figures and its inside gorgeous frescoes. In this street the famous "Infiorata" takes place in May. In XXIV May Square admire the wonderful 18th century
Saint Domenico Church, the Hercules' little villa in the middle of the square, the 16th century fountain of the garden and the town theatre.
Going on you see the pecular suburb of Agliastrella.
Don't miss the gorgeous golden beaches of the nature reserve of "Oasi di Vendicari".
Noto is very famous for its almond, whose name is "pizzuta", and above all for its wines made with Nero d'Avola grapes, the prince of Sicilian wine.
